14TH AUGUST

14TH AUGUST

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH) May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

Today is 14th of August. On this day Muslims from Bathinda to Rajpura were being massacred and I was present there.

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

What and how do I relate what was happening that day at this time.

Such events of savagery and brutality is un-likely to have been witnessed by history ever before .With glees of victory innocent naïve children were flung on spearheads as beasts toss their hunt and play about frivolously finding it helpless.

Devout Muslim women, who had never stepped out of the threshold of their houses, were rendered homeless and destitute. From Rajpura to Amritsir at every railway station, the slit heads of martyred honorable daughters were hung by their hairs on the trees and `Jai Hind` was written with blood on their foreheads. This was the extreme of human barbarity and savagery.

May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

No one’s honour or dignity was spared. Human dignity fell victim to greed of human-like fearful beasts.

One is over awed just at the thought of what the indignant daughters of this honorable nation did to save their chastity. Some put an end to their lives by stabbing themselves with kitchen knives, some crushed their heads with stones and finding nothing else cut their throats with sickles. Failing to find a safe haven, they jumped into wells and canals and drowned themselves. They jumped from rooftops to end their lives but did not allow their chastity to be tarnished.

Father’s honour and brother’s ego found themselves helpless and were forced to end the lives of their daughters and sisters with their own hands and preferred the death of dignity to the life of disgrace.

At that time the Ummah was facing severe turmoil.
Throughout Hindustan their own land became constricted for the Muslims. They were forced to leave and forsake the very alleyways and streets that they were brought up in. Death was chasing everywhere even those fleeing empty handed in caravans. Bloodshed was inflicted upon every living being.

Coffin less corpses smeared with blood lay scattered rotting in the fields. Every body was astonished in this state of helplessness and destitute.

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

Fire was rampant all around where in living-beings were burnt only for being Muslims. There were thousands to fuel and glow the fire but no one to put it out.

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

I was seeing these painful scenes and my eyes were shedding tears at the miserable state of the oppressed. Having witnessed the soul torturing sights of that time, life declared this world unlawful on to itself.

May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

I do not have the stamina to write further more on this topic (Yaa-hayyu,Yaa-qayyoom).

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

Your devotees presented such glaring examples of self esteem even in this state of helplessness.

During migration there was a refugee camp at Sidhwan Jagraun in the district of Ludhiana. One day some Dogra soldiers, armed with guns, appeared in the camp.
They took hold of the arm of young daughter of an elderly man and began to force her to accompany them. They had barely taken a few steps when a young man who was dressed in a three stripped police shirt and was busy in cooking food, jumped up, looked around and not finding any other weapon took a burning piece of wood from the hearth and leapt upon them with such a vigour that they lost their senses and stared at him in astonishment. He stepped forward, struck the head of the Dogra soldier with such a force that his head was shattered and he met his fate before falling to the ground.

Though the young man was martyred by the bullet of the soldier’s companion, it left such an over-empowering impact that no other Dogra soldier had the courage to enter the camp thereafter although the camp remained there for many months. Blessings of the martyrdom of one person safe-guarded the chastity and honour of the whole camp(Ma-sha`Allah)

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

I salute the religious fervour of my young compatriots who by sacrificing their lives exalted the Muslim nation for ever .I pay my compliments to those most chastised Muslim women who saved the nation’s ego by laying down their lives. I offer my salam to the daring young and courageous old who sacrificed their every thing and saved the enthusiasm of national honour, dignity and independence from permanent annihilation.

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

Laying down one’s dearest assets is the height of loyalty and sacrificing life is the peak of devotion. Please accept the most loving and the most sincere greetings from we, the humblest persons, for all the faithful martyrs of your Ummah.

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

This sacrifice was offered for the sake of Islam. Please accept and exalt it. No doubt if those sacrificing their lives and leaving their homes for the sake of Islam had turned away from `Tauheed`, had undertaken to worship Idols and instead of `Lai Ilaha Illalahu Muhammad-Rasool Ullah` had chanted `Hari Om Hari Om` then their native land would not have been constrained for them. Congratulations to all those who confronted the flames of fire but did not let wealth of belief slip from their hands and to all those who preferred the death from oppression to joining hands with non- believers. Those who became homeless and offered their lives for the right path are given glade tidings by the Holy Quran in these words,

“Those who have left their homes, or been driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in My cause, or fought or been slain,-Verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath,- A reward from the Almighty Allah and with Allah the most gracious is the best of rewards.”
[Al-Imran 195]

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

Is it possible that this sacrifice would be futile? Nay, It will certainly bear fruit and will never go waste. God’s help after migration, and victory after defeat is that component of a true believer’s faith which no one can ever refute.

O My Beloved Prophet (PBUH)
May My Soul Be Sacrificed For You!

Who can reward someone’s good gesture? Only men with lofty character do repay God gifted person’s deeds.
